VisionCheck is developed by HomiLabs Solutions SMC Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the VisionCheck Android app handles information.
VisionCheck is a self-screening tool that helps you notice potential changes in your vision before seeing an eye care professional. It is not a medical device and does not provide a medical diagnosis.
None. VisionCheck has no backend server and makes no network requests. The app does not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services, and it does not ask you to create an account or sign in.
To show you your own test history, the app saves the following locally, using SQLite, only on your phone:
This information never leaves your device. It is not visible to us, to HomiLabs Solutions, or to any other party. You can permanently erase it at any time from Settings → Clear History, or by uninstalling the app.
If you choose to export or share a summary (for example, as a PDF or text message to show a doctor), that action uses your device's own share/print system feature. The file is created locally and is only sent to the destination you pick (e.g. WhatsApp, email, Save to device). We never receive a copy.
VisionCheck does not request any special Android permissions (no camera, microphone, contacts, location, or storage access beyond the app's own private folder, which the operating system grants automatically).
VisionCheck is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from anyone at all. The app screens users under 13 out of the self-test flow and recommends seeing a specialist directly.
Where shown, listings of doctors, optometrists, or opticians are based on self-registration by those individuals. Their credentials and availability are not independently verified by us, and any contact you make with a listed practitioner is at your own discretion and risk.
If this policy changes, an updated version will be posted at this same address with a new "Last updated" date.
